AV integrator LED Dream installed the Window to Barcelona display, featuring nearly 200 sq metres of LG LED panels, to mark the hosting of the 37th America’s Cup sailing regatta in the city.
AV integrator LED Dream Group has installed the first large-format, fixed outdoor LED screen in Barcelona.
The Spanish city is hosting the 37th edition of the America’s Cup sailing regatta and the LG panels are on the facade of the IMAX building at Port Vell, which is hosting an America’s Cup Experience.
At nearly 200 sq metres in size, the ‘Window to Barcelona’ screen is one of the largest in Europe and will remain in place after the America’s Cup has ended. It is showing coverage of the racing Cup and cultural content about Barcelona.
The America's Cup Experience exhibition, set in a building that was formerly an IMAX cinema complex, features interactive rooms where visitors can relive historic races and the current competition, and a 10-minute film in the IMAX auditorium.
In addition, to sea-related content, the exhibition also features the ACEX Cam, a room which allow visitors to record a video of themselves, using "360 technology".
