The OnePlus Pad is its OEM's first ever 11.6-inch display device, yet is even thinner than its 10 Pro and 10T smartphone cousins. Therefore, the inaugural tablet's appearance on the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel might have proven an apprehensive watch for its users.
The video did indeed make for "awkward" content - for the more fragile 10 series, that is. The Pad flexed alarmingly from the front but not from the back in response to its bend test, beating not only its own brand's recent flagship smartphones, but even one or two iPads as well.
It also seems that the OnePlus Pad is also relatively third-party repair-friendly, and can be opened from the front panel - so long as care is taken around the delicate flex-cables for the power button. The "exquisite" copper-rich internals of its magnetic Stylo accessory also came in for some praise - in fact, it would apparently be even better in transparent form: something for Nothing to think about should that OEM ever make a tablet, perhaps.
All in all, it seems the OnePlus Pad is shaping up to be a robust and potentially more sustainable (considering it even comes with its own 67W SuperVOOC charger in the box) proponent of the resurging Android tablet space.
